India 75 is a collaborative project between Birmingham City University and Symbiosis International University, an exhibition was created to showcase India's journey and the impact of its people, culture, movements and architecture over the last 75 years through posters, illustrations, photography and textile piece.
I designed an A2-sized stamp poster featuring Tulsi Gowda and Droupadi Murmu, both of whom have made exceptional contributions to India. Tulsi Gowda is known as the "Encyclopedia of the forest" for her afforestation work and has been honoured with the Padma Shri award by the Indian government. I also highlighted her tribe, Halakki Vokkaligas/Vokkalu, which is one of the vanishing tribes of Northern Karnataka. Draupadi Murmu is the youngest and first Tribal woman to be the President of India.
